Detached houses in Leicester are in big demand, and usually come with a high price tag.
In fact over the last year buyers have forked out an average of £340,105 on detached properties, according to Rightmove.
But one unusual property in the county could end up selling for a lot less than that.
A detached house in Knighton has been listed for auction with a modest starting price of £150,000.
That’s less than the average price of a terraced house in the county, which is currently £171,379.

Despite its slim appearance, the two-bedroom property has plenty of space inside and comprises a living room, kitchen and separate dining room, family bathroom and an enclosed rear garden.

It has also been through a major refurbishment – so the new owner will just have to add the finishing touches.
In a listing for the property, SDL Auctions say: “A two bedroomed detached property in one of Leicester’s most sought after locations, close to great schooling, parks and amenities.
“The property has recently undergone a major scheme of refurbishment and now just requires finishing works.

The listing continues: “It has had a new roof, been plastered throughout and benefits from gas central heating and UPVC double glazing, along with a part fitted kitchen and bathroom.
“To the rear is a pleasant paved rear garden which is enclosed by brick walling. An ideal investment to complete and resell or to rent out.”
